Participants will select from one of the following experiences:
Group 1, The Point’s Riverside Campus for Arts & the Environment: Engage with local leaders and community-based organizations featuring artist Eric Orr, creator of the first Hip Hop comic book, Rappin’ Max Robot. Includes a visit to Rocking the Boat, a youth-powered boat-building an environmental justice initiative.
Group 2, The Hip Hop Museum: Sitting along the Harlem River in the Bronx, The Hip Hop Museum is a landmark in the making. It’s the first cultural institution to fully celebrate Hip Hop culture, preserve its legacy and inspire future generations–all under one roof. We will be in conversation with Kylerr Bucano on what the future holds.
Group 3, Live From the Bronx @Sankofa Haus: A special curated Hip Hop Therapy and wellness experience.
Group 4, Andrew Freedman Home: an open house experience of this historic property from artists at the intersection of social justice, to the NYC First robotics lab, and even a youth designed Escape room, the only one of its kind in NYC.
Group 5, Bronx River Alliance @Starlight Park: The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor.
