FAQs

How will the See NYC experience start?

Before kickoff, you’ll be assigned to a small group that includes two “captains” (think facilitators) and added to WhatsApp group chats to guide you through our daily schedule — intimate sessions, larger community activities, and plenty of moments for fun.

Where is the homebase of the event?

SEE NYC is an interactive experience across the city. At times, it’s a group experience for all 150 attendees, while others will be “choose your own adventure” and curated in smaller group settings.

Our home base (where all attendees will be required to stay for two nights during the festival) will be the Graduate Hotel on Roosevelt Island.

When does See NYC start & end?

Welcome programming will kick off between 8am–10am on Wednesday October 8th in Brooklyn. We’ll conclude at 5pm in lower Manhattan on October 10th. We will be releasing the full schedule at the beginning of September.

What neighborhoods should we expect to be in?

Featured neighborhoods include South & Central Brooklyn, Astoria & Long Island City (Queens), South Bronx, Harlem, Roosevelt Island, and West Side of Manhattan.

What should I bring?

We’ll be out and about for long stretches during the day, so wear what makes you feel comfortable. Think comfy shoes, daytime wear, and something that makes you feel great for nighttime events.

Who Should Apply?

Mission-driven leaders, civic dreamers, and creative thinkers. This includes entrepreneurs, investors, artists, non-profit executive directors, intrapreneurs, and more. SEE NYC is a pilot program and will be limited to 150 attendees.

Have you done this before?

This is our pilot experience in NYC! But since 2014, our parent company and national experience “Breakout” has been hosted in over 15 cities, including Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Miami, and Atlanta, gathering national changemakers.

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets starting at $1,450. This includes attendees' accommodations at The Graduate Hotel, wellness activities, entertainment, food and drinks, and transportation to experiences.

While every attendee is based in New York City, lodging at the Graduate Hotel is required.

**As this is a sector-agnostic experience, we recognize applicants have a range of budgets. Our tickets are on a sliding scale, and we will do our best to accommodate the budget needs of accepted applicants.

I’m in! How do I Apply?

Hit the Apply button and fill out a bit more about yourself and your interest in joining us! We’d love to hear more about you, why you want to attend, how you heard about us, and what attending would mean to your professional & personal journey. We’re thoughtful about our crew, as this experience is just as much about your why as your what.

Although we are limited to 150 attendees, we hope this event will become an annual experience that we can continually build upon, offering new opportunities for rotating New York leaders.
