Participants will select from one of the following experiences:

Group 1, Materials for the Arts: Explore and be immersed in workshops with NYC’s largest creative reuse center.

Group 2, YVote @Bedford Library: Join a youth-led experience in Bed-Stuy on becoming a changemaker, led by the students of YVote, a nonprofit that motivates and equips youth to create change at and beyond the ballot box.

Group 3, Oko Farms @Brooklyn Roots Collaborative: A behind-the-scenes look at this new space focused on sustainability in Bushwick plus workshop with Yemi Amu and Jess Carroll of Oko Farms, a one of a kind aquaponics farms and education center w/ a celebration of the deep connection to a plant’s journey, from harvest to sip to compost.

Group 4, Brownsville Safety Alliance @Brownsville Community Culinary Center: Get a behind-the-scenes look at community-based public safety in action through a visit with We Build the Block and the Brownsville Safety Alliance.

Group 5, Socrates Sculpture Park: Slow down and take in the waterfront sculptures at this iconic Queens park. Learn about its community-driven history and upcoming transformations, including exclusive access to works by Mark di Suvero.
